when friends reach out to you across the wires

the only friends you lose are the one that you leave out from your heart. physical distance may separate you from friends or you may not see each other or talk to each other for a long time but if in your heart, you find that you still keep them as your friend and they do the same to you, then you continue to be friends.
for the first time in my life, i found myself at a loss for words that could somehow capture the simple wisdom of the yaya sisterhood, pa96 style.
the mails and the yahoo messages that were exchanged, beginning with my outburst to marlyn last weekend culminated into serious talks between the yayas and forced almost all of us to take stock on how we have been growing as persons and not just as friends.
everything has already been said in the exchange of mails, in the summaries, even in the blogs that somehow, i am left with nothing but a contented silence in my heart that makes me feel so proud and so happy to have found such true friends.
and i am so much humbled, knowing that these are the kinds of friends i have. i am touched that even friends to whom i have given my silence in exchange for their support are still there, reaching out to everyone in the group.
it is both in our hearts that we find each other as friends. physical distance can separate us. but we have never lost each other. we have kept each other in our hearts. and so, we remain friends… we have become not just people with our own diversities. we reached out to each other because we knew we will find each other. and in the process, we redefined ourselves… and i am proud to have been a part of this stage of growth in our lives, even when i am so far away from all of you. you just made me feel like i’m home again…
