She snores gently beside me.  The early morning air feels cold on my skin.  I let out a shiver even as I cover her to keep her warm.  As soon as the enveloping warmth hits her, she slips out of the cover and kicks it from her body. Then my favorite part begins.  She seeks me out under my cover, one of her little arms embracing me while a little foot tries to wriggle its way in between my legs, telling me she prefers the warmth of my body from the sheets.  I gently embrace her and whisper, “I love you”, in her ears.  She kisses me sleepily on my cheek and lets out a sigh.  “You’re warm, Mommy,” she tells me in between gentle snores.  She dozes off to dreamland, her hands clinging to my body.  I breathe in her scent, cuddling and kissing her in my arms.  Soon enough, she awakes.  A hand slips out from under and a small Rhino voice tells me, “Mommy, I have changed my mind.  I want to go to the horn-tist.”  Out slips a little toy, beloved as he is, named Rhino.  She makes him move with her hands and talks to me in the same Rhino voice.  I ask her what she wants for breakfast and she gives me this toothy smile.  She thinks about it and tells me even as she stretches her body out.  “In about five minutes,” she says.  I sigh.  She goes back to sleep.  I smile.  Outside, a voice calls out to me telling me it’s time for breakfast.  I know even as I get up that he has already prepared warm water for my bath.  Ah, holidays…
