A beautiful day…

David Cook’s version of Always be my Baby croons behind my ears.

His caressing words tell me what I wanted to hear.

I got a ride to Makati earlier than I expected.

The traffic was starting to get heavy but the FX I was riding on still managed to get to Ayala Avenue at 8:00 a.m.

There weren’t too many call center agents milling about in front of Starbucks along the corner of Ayala and Paseo de Roxas polluting the air with their smoking.  (Hey, I have a right to breathe in clean air too as much as they have a right to put in poison in their stressed-out bodies.)

It wasn’t so humid along the underpass as I tried to find my way across going to the direction of Rufino Tower.

When I came out from the underpass, my eyes was greeted by the sight of the Philippine Stocks Exchange Building standing so beautifully against grey sky morning.

I wanted to take my cellphone out to take a shot of it but then I debated against it.  Too touristy.

I walked along Paseo going to the direction of Greenbelt area and felt the gentle breeze blowing against my face.

As I passed by the parking lot fronting Somerset, the trees gave me a welcoming hug.  I could hear their silent whispers amongst themselves with the soft rustle of their leaves.

I was reminded of UP.  Different time, different place.  Different me.  But still loving the sight of them and feeling their presence above me.

You’ll always be a part of me

I’m part of you indefinitely…

I will linger on

Time can’t erase a feeling this strong…

No, you’re never gonna shake me…

It’s a beautiful day in Makati.

It’s time to work.
